Step 1: Quote Request
First we gather all details and specifications from you to determine the scope of the project. We generally like to see some examples of other websites that either have the look and feel, or functionality you are looking for.
Step 2: Project Evaluation
We contact you to make sure we have all of the details straight. At this point we can give you our recommendations as well as a ballpark on the budget.
Step 3: Formal Proposal & Agreement
If you are interested in moving forward with us, we will put together a formal proposal for you to review. The proposal also acts as a contract agreement and outlines our process, the project details and associated costs. We like our clients to know exactly what there're paying, and what there're paying for.
Step 4: Initial Deposit
Once you've decided to move forward , we generally require a 35% deposit on the project total to get started. Work generally commences on our standard web design projects within 24-48 hours. This time fram also depends on how quickly you are able to provide us with all of the necessary materials in order to get started.
Step 5: Design Phase
One of our web designers will create a design the graphics and create a mock-up for your new website. Our standard agreements generally include up to three separate design concepts as needed, with multiple revisions within reason thereafter to finalize.
Step 6: Development Phase
Once the design concept is selected and approved, we'll start on the development and production of the site. All of your content will be added into each page of the website layout. At this point we will require a 2nd payment of 33% the total cost.
Step 7: Programming Phase
Most of all websites we build are dynamic in some way and require custom web programming to give them the functionality required. Upon your approval, we'll begin on the programming phase of the project. This phase includes converting the site to a dynamic, database-driven website. Using primarily PHP/MySQL, we custom program any special functionality into your site, which often includes building a custom Content Management System (CMS) so the website can be quickly and easily updated by you. We will also configure, implement and customize any third-party or open-source web software at this time (e-commerce shopping carts, blogs, etc.)
Step 8: Final Review, Training and Testing
When all of the dynamic web programming as been completed, we will review and test the website with you. Any final touches will be completed at this time in preparation for launching the site. You will be trained to use any administration tools that your site may require.
Step 9: Launch!
When everything has been tested/approved, we will request the final 34% payment from you, and launch the new website. If any additional work is required post-launch, we will handle your request on a per-project or hourly basis. Regular maintenance plans are also available based on your needs.
